Mrs. Rose Vinocai of Delhi, passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in her 81st year. Former Member of St. Ladislaus' Roman Catholic Church and Delhi District Hungarian Hall. Rose was a wonderful Hungarian cook, making all the traditional favourites. Rose and her husband, Leslie, immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1957 and became hard working tobacco farmers in the Scotland/Burford area. Former Rozalia Rapai. Beloved wife of the Late Leslie Vinocai (1985). Loving mother of Les (Patricia), Sylvia Reid (Lincoln) and Anita Dougherty (Kam). Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Byron), Jessica (Christopher), Mallory (Lawrence), Kelsey and Kasey and great grandmother to Brandy and Ramona. Dearest sister of Tamás and Ocsi, both of Hungary. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and inlaws. Predeceased by her sisters, Mariska and Elizabeth of Hungary. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Ladislaus R.C. Cemetery, Courtland. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
