Obituary of Joseph Kiss

Mr. Joseph Kiss formerly of Delhi, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, November 21, 2024 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the Late Cecilia (Woytas) Kiss (2018). He will be greatly missed by his daughter Tami Christiaen (Larry) and son Richard Kiss (Dianne). Cherished grandfather of Laci, Trina, Jerred and Stephen and friend Sandy MacDonald. Also survived by several nieces, nephews. Predeceased by his sister Alice Cervid (John). Joseph started his career as a tobacco buyer with Simcoe Leaf Tobacco Company in 1962. In July of 1979 he was elected as Assistant Vice President of the company and in November of 1983 he was promoted to Vice President and served in this capacity until July of 1998 at which time he retired. Joe was recognized for his hard work, knowledge, integrity, competence and personal virtues. The most important aspect of Joe’s life was his family. He enjoyed many family gatherings, quality time with his children and grandchildren. Joe was an avid Toronto sports fan, who enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also enjoyed playing cards and bingo and was a Past President of the Euchre Club in Delhi. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery.
