Perry John VanHeugten of Delhi passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in his 65th year. Perry was a dedicated farmer who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including playing cards and watching hockey. He was also a survivor, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience throughout his life. Perry’s legacy will live on through his family and friends. Perry is survived by his children, Derek (Julie), Vicki (Dean), and Kyle (Victoria); their mother, Bev; and his cherished grandchildren, Braydon, Hudson, Dylan, Alyvia, Arie, Auston, and Axel. He is also survived by his mother, Joann (John), his brother, Willy (Terry); and his sisters, Wilma (Larry) and Joannie (Mark) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry (1985). Friends & Family are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Church, Delhi on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at the Delhi & District German Home on Monday, October 28, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the VON Sakura House, Woodstock can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family. Perry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be carried in the hearts of his family and friends.
