Obituary of Jerry Dadurka

In Loving Memory

Mr. Jerry Dadurka of Delhi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his 3 loving daughters at the University Hospital in London, Ontario on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved and devoted husband of the Late Irma (Jonckheere) Dadurka (2018) for nearly 56 years. Loving and most caring father of Kelly Dadurka (Kim Franklin), Lisa Glaves (Bob Veres) and Kim Kramer (Peter). Cherished grandfather of Alexandra Rebry (Michael), Kelvin Glaves, Quin and Kirsten Kramer.  Much beloved "Papa Jerry” (great grandfather) to Emery and Eliza Rebry.   Dearest older brother to Edward Dadurka. Also survived by many cousins in Canada & Lithuania. Jerry was pre-deceased by his parents John (1990) and Nellie (1972). To the very end of his life, Jerry loved farming and gardening.  Together with Irma, they raised 3 daughters, who loved the farm life which taught each of them the true value of a strong work ethic.  He perfected the productivity and value of all his crops alongside many local farmers.  He enjoyed his weekly outings to Tim Hortons to catch up on the local news and “gossip” as well as world news and stockmarket.  He was very respected and often sought out by many farmers to share his expertise and advice on how to optimize crop production.  In the last few years, Jerry became very helpful to the Delhi Horticultural Society and Delhi Tobacco Museum and Heritage Centre providing supplies and practical advice as it related to various aspects of growing and harvesting tobacco. Jerry was a Long Time Member of the Ontario Woodlot Association attending annual meetings and taking exceptional care of his mixed and maple bushes and walnut grove.   His interest in his grandchildrens’ lives extended well into their adult lives whether it be through sports, social circles of friends, conversation or their well-established careers and schooling. A Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Deacon Andy Alway officiating.  Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery will take place at a later date.  Memorial Donations to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, (www.psso.ca or 1-888-851-7376); Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre (Norfolk County - Care of DTMHC), or to the Ontario Woodlot Association through its partner organization and charitable arm, the Eastern Ontario Model Forest at (https://www.eomf.on.ca/make-a-donation) or can be made through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
