Mrs. Hilda Van Damme, formerly of Delhi, passed away at Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in her 92nd year. Hilda was a proud member of the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Women's League. She enjoyed knitting in fall colours and donated her scarves, hats and baby outfits to whomever needed them. Former Hilda DeBruyne, beloved wife of the Late Roger Van Damme (2004).  Dear mother of Rick Van Damme (Lynn), Darlene Wray and Diane Van Damme (Angelo).  Cherished grandmother of Meagan (Noah), Sarah (Cory) & Kevin, Darci (Mark), Brandon (Taylor) and Alexis (Aaron) and great grandmother of Riley. Dear sister of Mariette Herwegh. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in laws. Predeceased by her brother Andre DeBruyne (2001) (Late Hilda, 2015) and by her sisters, Freida (1982) (Late Theodule, 1994) and Alois. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Andy Alway officiating. Internment in Delhi Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
