Mrs. Jean Stackhouse Courtland, passed away peacefully at the Caressant Care, Courtland on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in her 91st year. Jean’s favourite pet was her little dog, Chicco. She enjoyed feeding the birds and gardening. She cooked and baked for her family when she could. She loved relaxing to good old style country music and a beer. Former Jean Eileen Mudford. Loving mother of Dan (Melanie) and Mike (Darlene). Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her infant daughter, Mary Beth, by her sons, Scott (2018) and Donald (2022) and by her grandson, Greg (2020). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. held in the Chapel with Pastor Ted Smith officiating. Inurnment in Newkirk Cemetery, St. Williams.  Memorial Donations to the Purrfect Companions of Norfolk, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Simcoe & District Humane Society will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
