Obituary of Ursula Lister

In Loving Memory

With heavy hearts, the family of Ursula Lister announce her passing on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the age of 80. While she leaves behind many loved ones, there is comfort in knowing she is finally reunited with the love of her life Gordon (2021), whom she missed so dearly. Together, Ursula and Gordon lived a life like no other, always full of love and devotion. They are now forever side by side, sitting on a bench and reminiscing of their life together of almost 60 years. Treasured mother of Gregory (Connie), Cindy Livingstone (Paul) and Christine Dekker (Dave). Special grandmother to Aaron, Ashley (Darryl), Rebecca (Devin), Rachel (Kyle), Jessica and Samantha. Cherished Nana to Thomas, Bryce, Alexander and Parker. Ursula was the oldest of seven children and they will all miss her dearly. Loving sister of Hanna Lichty (Larry), Jack Deskur (Ann), Steve Deskur (Judy), Elizebeth Cutler (Frank), Dave Deskur (Gloria) and Mark Deskur (Jocelyn). Ursula will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends. Daughter of the Late Elizebeth and Jack Deskur. Born in Weinheim, Germany in 1943, Ursula’s life was nothing but ordinary. From immigrating to Canada with her family at a young age, taking care of her siblings, meeting her love Gordon at the young age of 18 and raising a wonderful family, Ursula persevered through all the joyous moments and hardships with a smile on her face. Even through difficult times, Ursula managed to encourage her family, support them in any way possible and surround them with love. She taught her family the importance of hard work and unconditional love. She always looked forward to seeing her family and friends visit the red brick farmhouse on Wilson Avenue. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Nunn, Nurse Practitioner Cory Harris and Nicole and Jess from Circle of Care Support Services for their support and care during the last few months. Family and Friends are invited to share their memories and love at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Private Family Memorial Service will take place with Inurnment in Lynnville Cemetery.
