Obituary of Alan Willaert
In Loving Memory
Mr. Alan Willaert of Etobicoke, and formerly of Delhi, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in his 71st year. Alan was dedicated to music all his life, playing with the band Charade for 18 years amongst other bands. After Alan’s band years he became involved with the American Federation of Musicians for the United States and Canada and eventually became Vice President from Canada working towards the betterment for all musicians everywhere. Married 31 years to his wife Lori. Loving father of Michelle (Ian), Sean (Tawna), Valerie (Matt) and Jeffrey. Cherished grandfather of Kait, Lucy, Ben, Max, Madison and Jack. A Private Funeral Service was held with Deacon Andy Alway officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date for friends and family to pay tribute to him. Memorial Donations can be made to the Dorothy Ley Hospice and The Alan Willaert Scholarship Fund (Canadian Conference) at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
