Obituary of Margaret Juszku

In Loving Memory

Mrs. Margaret Juszku, formerly of St. Williams, passed away peacefully at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in her 98th year. Born in Saskatchewan to Hungarian immigrant parents, the family later moved to the Delhi area where she worked mainly in tobacco farming and later co-owned Juszku’s Foodland in St. Williams for many years. Margaret was a former member of the Port Rowan Lioness Club, and of the Calvin Presbyterian Church and the Delhi Hungarian Hall, volunteering many hours in their kitchens. After a life-altering car accident, Margaret has resided since 1998 with her adopted “family” at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home in Simcoe.  She was very active there and made a huge impact over the years, always advocating for the residents and serving as President of the Residents Council. Margaret was renowned for making delicious cabbage rolls, pies, cookies and preserves which were sold to fundraise for the Residents Council. She was very skilled at sewing, making quilts, and knitting or crocheting and generously shared her creations. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at NHNH for helping and allowing her to be all she could over these many years. After a long and sometimes challenging life, our beloved Margaret leaves behind a true legacy of utmost strength, determination, selflessness, thoughtfulness, love and support for family and friends. We are all lucky to have learned from her about the power of staying positive and to keep on pushing forward no matter what life throws at you. She will remain a shining example to us and will be cherished and missed by all those whose lives she touched. Former Emily Margaret Imre. Loving mother of Dan (Deana) Hill and Louis (Linda) Juszku. Cherished grandmother of Julie Ferlisi (Cary), Anthony Crotta (Lori), Kevin Crotta (Mandy), Wesley Juszku and Evan Juszku (Lynn). She will also be missed by 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Dearest sister of Rose Trepanier, Louis Imre (Eva) and Alex Imre (Lydia). Beloved wife of the Late Harold Hill (1952) and the Late Barney Juszku (1987). She is also predeceased by her son, Barney T. Juszku (2021), by her brother, Andrew Imre (1959) and by her parents Andrew (1969) & Margaret (Szabo) Imre (1998).
