Obituary of Rick Beneff
In Loving Memory
Mr. Rick Beneff of Delhi, passed away at the Victoria Hospital, L.H.S.C., London on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in his 57th year. Faithful Member of the Knights of Columbus including the 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus, Rev. Mike Dalton, Sacred Heart Assembly #2046 and Past Grand Knight of the 3rd Degree, Delhi-LaSalette Council #5095. Rick had worked along-side his father for many years forming Beneff Concrete together and then recently with his son-in-law Mike creating Legacy Construction. He loved spending as much time up north as possible hunting, fishing, quading with friends & family. His family was always most precious to him. He always welcomed everyone into his home and treated them as if they were family. He took great pride in his work and in his family. Beloved husband, for 35 years on May 7th, to Laura Beneff (nee: Purdy). Loving father of Nicole Corless (Mike) and Amanda Beneff (Dave). Cherished "Bamps" of Dakota, Caylee, Caleb & Shayla. Dearest brother of Debbie Beneff (Ted), brother-in-law of Jeff Purdy (Chantelle) and loving uncle of Jeannie Courtemanche and Harry & Bain Purdy. Also survived by his aunt Veronica (Ron) DeMeyere, aunt Linda (Jerry) Gekiere, uncle Roger VanCraenenbroeck and uncle Gerard (Linda) VanCraenenbroeck. Predeceased by his parents: Richard (2016) & Jean (Leger) Beneff (2009), by his sister, Sonia Courtemanche (2011) by his brother-in-law Robert Purdy (2007), by his in-laws Jim (2018) and Donna Purdy (2021). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus Prayers said at 7:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Church, Delhi on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the South Coast Community Caring For Cancer and the Shine Through the Rain Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
