Obituary of Mary Tolgyes (Csegezi)
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Mary Tolgyes of St. Thomas, and formerly of Windham Centre, passed away peacefully at her home in St Thomas on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in her 95th year. Born Maria Csegezi in Nagyened, Transylvania. Predeceased by her husband Louis Tolgyes (1990). They grew tobacco for many years. Mary enjoyed reading, travelling and needlework. She loved sports, embraced hockey and football but her passion was swimming. Mary was also a former Member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, Delhi. Remembered with love and respect by her daughter Annamaria. She is survived by her nieces and nephew; Josef Bachhuber (Erika), Monika Stadler, Annemarie Krieger (Paul) in Germany, and her great niece Marie Spell (Rodney) and her great nephew Christopher Torok of North Carolina. Lovingly remembered by Daniel, Elke, Manuela, Lauren, Heather, Taylor, Gergo, Soma, Daniel, Alma, Peter, Levente, Melinda, Andris, Benedik and Emese. Always in the hearts of the Laszlo and Nyitrai families in Hungary. She was predeceased by her mother Maria (Golfi) at age 3 and her father Andras Csegezi at age 11. She had five siblings, all predeceased, Ilus, Andras, Sandor, Rosa and Marton. Also predeceased by her niece, Eva Wood. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 for visitation on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service held in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Ferenc Szatmari officiating. Private Family Inurnment in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Courtland.
