Forever in Our Hearts
Mrs. Elizabeth Schweitzer of Tillsonburg, formerly of Delhi and Jericho, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital in her 96th year. Elizabeth was born in Szakadát, Hungary. The daughter of the Late Peter Zei (1971) and the Late Katherine (Müller) Zei (1981). Beloved wife of the Late John S. Schweitzer (1969). Loved and loving mother of Mary and Henry Heimbuch, John A. Schweitzer and Robert Poirier, and Cathy and the Late John Seimen (2016). Cherished Gramma Lizzie of Johanna and Andy Wiebe and treasured Oma to their children Dillan and Ellie. Elizabeth 's family meant the world to her and she meant the world to them. Dearest sister-in-law of Rosina Zei and Julianna Zei. Elizabeth is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her brothers, Andrew Zei (2022) and Peter Zei (1969), and her in-laws Matthew Schweitzer (1972) and Anna (Stier) Schweitzer (1975). Elizabeth enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles and reading. She was a Member of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs' Catholic Women's League, and the Delhi District German Home & their Ladies Society and the Norfolk General Hospital Volunteer Association. Elizabeth especially enjoyed volunteering at Norfolk General Hospital and was awarded a Provincial Life Membership in 2014 after 30 years of Service. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME,
