Obituary of Betsy Ann Antoszek

In Loving Memory

Mrs. Betsy Antoszek of Delhi, passed away suddenly at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in her 66th year. Betsy grew up working on the family tobacco farm. As the oldest daughter, she had to do all the work the boys did. She took pride in her farm work and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Married in 1975 to Jay Antoszek, together they enjoyed many camping trips and camped all around Norfolk County. Starting with a tent, progressing to a fold up camper to eventually enjoying traveling around Ontario in their "Class A" motor home. She loved to fish and always tried to catch a bigger fish than all her friends and usually would. She loved to travel. Together with Jay and family they traveled to many Caribbean islands. Her two favourite trips were a 2 week cruise around the bottom of South America seeing penguins (she loved penguins) and taking a trip to Mexico where she and Jay went deep sea fishing, and yes, she did catch the biggest fish, a 200 lbs Black Marlin. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Thank you so much to everyone she shared her life with. Former Betsy Ann Rogers. Beloved wife of Jay Antoszek. Dearest daughter of Lois Bonner (Late Ron Baker).  Loving mother of Michelle Mabee (Ron). Cherished grandmother of Cole, Mackenzie and Kaylynn and great grandmother of Merrick. Treasured sister of Kelly McCabe (Geoff) and Gina Malcolm (Dave). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in laws. Predeceased by her father, George Rogers. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m followed by A Celebration of Life Service held in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Ted Smith officiating. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
