Obituary of Margaret Kovacs (Farkas)

Mrs. Margaret Kovacs, formerly of Vanessa, passed away with her family at her side at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in her 93rd year. Margaret was a Proud Member with the Calvin Presbyterian Church, Delhi and the Delhi District Hungarian Hall. She was a devoted volunteer with their church dinners and special events. Margaret loved playing cards with her special Wednesday Ladies Group and always looked forward to spending time together. Born Margaret Joan Farkas in Melville, Saskatchewan. Beloved wife of the Late Leslie Kovacs (1979). Loving mother of Barbara Ann Zorad (Brian), Tom Kovacs (Vivian) and Les Kovacs (Cheryl). Cherished grandmother of Jaime (Ryan), Emily (Kevin), Bradley (Sharon), Timothy (Melanie), K.C., Cory and Chase and great grandmother of Hudson, Sasha, Graham, Leah and Scarlett. Dearest twin sister of Alice Knight (Late Ron, 2018) of British Columbia and sister in law of Bertha Tarcza of Vanessa. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Gabriel & Rose (Doni) Farkas and her brother, Leonard Farkas (2006). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 for visitation on Monday, April 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Lucio X. Couto officiating followed by Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake or the Delhi Belgian Archery Club (Hungarian Hall Wheelchair Fund) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
