Obituary of Andrew Slagmulder

Mr. Andrew “Andy” Slagmulder of Langton passed away with family by his side at Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 in his 82nd year. Andy was the youngest child of Belgian immigrants and tobacco farmers, who continued the farming business alongside his brother Mitch.  Known for his quiet, patient and gentle nature, Andy loved fishing, snowmobiling, music, guitar, and turkey dinners with his large extended family. Loving father of Christine Kempton (Ron) and Kim Pereira (Adelio). Cherished grandfather of Megan, Allison and Tristan. Dearest uncle of Janet Dely (Larry), Patricia Gillispie (Sam), Roberta Capener (Bill), Debbie Dammon (Jerry), LuAnn Hammond (Jim), Rick Antonissen (Cathie) and Carolyn Banfield (Larry) and will be missed by several great nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his brother Marcel "Mitch" Slagmulder (2016) and by his sisters Alice Beselaere (1988) and Yvonne Antonissen (1976), and niece Donna Hamilton (1997). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Brantford General Hospital or the charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
