Mrs. Bertha VanDeSlyke of Delhi passed away at her home, surrounded by family, on Monday, August 15, 2022 in her 92nd year. Bertha loved to entertain and cook for friends and family and was an avid Bridge player. Bertha and her husband raised their family on their tobacco farm and enjoyed many winters in Florida. Summers were spent in their most cherished place in the Muskokas, at their cottage. Formerly Bertha Marie Down. Beloved wife of 62 years to the Late Jerome VanDeSlyke (2017). Loving mother of Katherine Rusz and Charles VanDeSlyke. Cherished grandmother of Adrian (Geoff), Jay, Kendahl (Mike), Jordon and Jade. Survived by her sister Dorothy Ward of Woodstock. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
