Obituary of Arthur Wippel

In Loving Memory

Mr. Arthur “Art” Wippel of Simcoe passed away surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in his 86^th year. Art was a truck driver for the majority of his working life.  After he retired his lawn and flowers became his pride and joy.  He loved being surrounded by family and friends making sure that each of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren felt special.  Art could always be seen with a smoke in one hand and the remote control in the other.  He loved watching sports and the news and was often seen sitting on the porch waving to all who drove by. Beloved husband of Shirley Wippel (Craig). Loving father of Marie Davis (Chris Wolfer), Bev deRuiter (Barry Forsyth), Rick Wippel and Lisa Wippel (Jason Jongeneel). Cherished grandfather to Rebecca, Donna (Tim), Stephanie (Les), Sarah (Rob) and Victoria. Dearest great grandfather to Lily and Owen, Rolin, Sawyer, Ireland and Nova. He will be missed by his brother Irwin Wippel (Marie) and brothers-in-law Bruce Gay and Randy Craig (Carol). Honourary grandfather to Ethan, Kristan, Lauran and Emerson. Treasured by his pet dog, Molly. Predeceased by his parents Hubert and Maria Wippel; in-laws Howard and Annie Craig; siblings Frances, Irene and Aurlie; sister-in-law Frances (Steve Vago); son-in-law Bill; and great grandson Colton (2008).
