Mr. Josephe Claude “J.C.” Bruyere of Simcoe, passed away at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in his 83rd year. He was such an amazing man, with such a zest for life, love and laughter. Claude was an amazing fiddler who played with JC and Stoney as well as many other bands over the years. He also taught and repaired fiddles. He was one of the organizers of the Waterford Bluegrass Festival. Claude was Member of the United Church. He always had a big compassionate heart for children & seniors. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Sziklai-Bruyere. Loving father of Christopher Goudeseune (Tara), Stefan Bruyere (Charmaine), and Joel Bruyere (Justine). Cherished grandfather of Ailish and Greyden. Dear brother of Robert (Late Yolande, 2021) and Francine. Predeceased by his brothers, Jacque (1996) and Gerald (2002). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel with Pastor Ted Smith officiating. Inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch at a later date. Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Norview Lodge (cheques made payable to Norfolk County) will be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Norview (Evergreen Lane) for giving Claude such a wonderful home for over 7 years. It made such a difference for him and his family.
