Obituary of Mary VanDeVelde

In Loving Memory

 

Mrs. Mary VanDeVelde of Delhi, passed away suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital, on Monday, April 11, 2022 in her 70th year. She loved her mini vacations to Niagara Falls, cruises and regular “Friday” night dinners with her friends. She had fond memories of her years on the farm with Archie. Mary adored her grandchildren, loved her family and her friends like family. Former Mary Janssens. Beloved wife of the Late Archie VanDeVelde (2019) for 46 years. Loving mother of Stacey Powell (Rob) and Shannon Barron (Geoff). Cherished grandmother of Aidan, Liam, Avery and Alexis. Dearest sister of Catherine VanLondersele-Colonnello (Jack) and sister-in-law of Joanne DeGroote (Late John 2022). Also survived by nephews, cousins and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents: Albert (2002) & Yvonne (Boterberg) Janssens (2018), her sister Jeanette Hilliard (2018) (Late John 2016), her niece Cassia VanLondersele (1992) and by her nephew Michael Valcheff (1994). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Alan Dufraimont officiating. Inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch. Memorial Donations to the Delhi Community Health Centre or Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Memorial Church Fund will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
