Obituary of Jose Ventoso

Mr. Jose Ventoso formerly of Delhi passed away at the Park Lane Terrace, Paris on Monday, December 6, 2021 in his 87th year. Jose was a merchant marine and loved working on boats. He came to Canada in 1960 and landed in Montreal. Jose met Univercina “Nivia” and then they married. They moved to Delhi where Jose got a job painting with Saunders & Son. He then went into business for himself where he was very successful. Together with his wife, they bought houses and renovated them. He was a hard worker who loved his wife and children and was happy when all his grandchildren came along as well. Jose loved making wine, fishing and dancing with his wife. Beloved husband of Univercina (De Los Santos) Ventoso. Loving father of Ines Cuthbert (Jeffery), Joe Ventoso (Lee), Eddie Ventoso and Terry Ventoso (Danielle). Cherished grandfather of Rachel Cuthbert, Claire Ventoso and Easton & Hunter Ventoso. Dearest brother of Carmen Vasquez (Late Antonio) and Maria Castelo (Francisco). Also survived by several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his two brothers, Manuel (Carmen) and Francisco (Rosa) Ventoso. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (Facial Coverings and Social Distancing Required). In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
