Obituary of Jim Walker

In Loving Memory

Mr. James “Jim” Walker of Waterloo passed away suddenly at the Grand River Health Care Hospital, Kitchener on Monday, November 8, 2021 in his 68th year. Jim enjoyed playing golf and followed all sports with keen interest. He devoted a lot of his free time to the KW Kiwanis club as a member of the music festival committee, organizing volunteers and volunteering his own time to help the local festival run smoothly. An avid music lover, he spent a lot of time listening to music and organizing his Playlists for himself and friends to enjoy. Jim really enjoyed cooking and meal preparation and did this every day. His favourite summer getaway was Long Point Beach. Beloved husband of Joan (Lee) Walker. Loving father of Jessica Walker (James). Dearest brother of Wendy Crawford (Paul). Also survived by his mother-in-law, Alice Lee and by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Predeceased by his parents, Colleen (O’Brien, 1996) & Earle Walker (2018), and by his father-in-law, Gordon Lee (2002). Visitation will be held at the Delhi District German Home, Delhi on Thursday, November 18, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. observing the Full Mandatory COVID Vaccine Protocol.  Inurnment at a later date in Bookton Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
