Obituary of Julie Lasko

In Loving Memory

Mrs. Julie Lasko formerly of Adams Avenue, Delhi passed away peacefully at her home at the Cedar Crossing Retirement Community, Simcoe on Sunday, September 19, 2021 in her 94th year. Julie was the consummate homemaker. She loved preparing meals and for her family and entertaining friends. Many of her recipes have been passed on through the family and her great-granddaughter, Mara has mastered some of them. She always enjoyed tending her flowers around her home in the spring and summer. Julie was a long-time member of the Delhi Branch of the Volunteer Association to Norfolk General Hospital and Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home. An avid card player, she enjoyed the company of her peers at the Delhi Friendship Centre. Along with her husband, she was an avid curler and bowler for many years. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and supplied many items of her baking to the annual Christmas Bazaar. Former Juliette Mary Helene Noel. Beloved wife of the Late Leslie Lasko (2015). Loving mother of Nancy Lasko, Leonard Lasko (Pauline), Leslie Lasko Jr. and Julie Ann Baxter. Cherished grandmother of six grandchildren: Victoria DeLauw, Nick DeLauw (Michelle), Tyler Lasko (Sarah), Somerleigh Lasko (Nathan), Marlee Baxter, Matthew Baxter and great grandmother of Gabriel, Mara, Xavier and Aubrey. Also survived by several nieces, nephews. Predeceased by her two sisters, Beatrice Beaulac and Rachelle Thereau and by her brother, Norman Noel. The family would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate staff at Cedar Crossing in Simcoe and Care Partners nurses for helping with Julie’s care and making her comfortable as she transitioned into her next unknown adventure. She appreciated each and every one of the team and your commitment to her and her family helped her keep her sense of humour until the end. Bless you all. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Charity of your choice can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
