Obituary of Samuel Ratavicius

In Loving Memory

Mr. Samuel Ksaveras Ratavicius of Otterville, Ontario suddenly passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in his 29th year. He was born 5 weeks early on August 17, 1992 at Hamilton McMaster Hospital. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Woodstock, Ontario and finished the remainder of his high school education at Hampshire Collegiate in England. He returned to Canada in 2010 and completed a diploma at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. As a kid, Sam was the sweetest and most beautiful boy; he grew into a gentle, kind and beautiful man. He was a man of the world, with friends across the globe. He loved playing football and rugby as well as a good throw down. As he grew up, he never lost his silly, sometimes highly inappropriate, sense of humour. He loved animals - tending to his goats, looking after the fish pond or playing with his pups. He loved his family, and would do anything for the people he loved. As such the greatest gift he gave was of himself to the Trillium Gift of Life, with Hope to help others who will benefit from his precious gift. Beloved son of Algis & Doreen Ratavicius of Otterville. Loving brother of Nick Ratavicius (Johnie) and Steph Ratavicius (Cannon) of Otterville. Cherished nephew of Daiva Hoover (Ron), Rasa Lannoo (Marc), Carrie Roelens (Rod), Alison Ebdon (Rory). Loved cousin to Blake and Jarred Ebdon, Garrett, Kaela and Craig Roelens, Landon and Hannah VanElsacker and Luke Hoover. He also leaves behind his two deeply loved grandmothers, Agota Ratavicius and Darlene Rayner. He is predeceased by his two grandfathers: Ksaveras Ratavicius (2016) and Gary Rayner (1998) and by his two Aunts: Julie Rayner Vanelsacker (2011) and Laima Ratavicius (1997). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery.
