Mrs. Cecile Rodet, formerly of Hawtrey Road, Delhi, passed away at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe, on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in her 91st year. Cecile was a Proud Member of the LaSalette C.W.L., the Delhi Belgian Club and the Delhi Senior Citizens Club. She worked along side her husband on the tobacco farm for many years. Sewing, knitting, gardening, cooking and baking were just a few of the ways she took care of her family’s needs. In later years, Cecile enjoyed travelling to Belgium to visit with her family & friends, playing bingo and spending time at the casino and loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Former Cecile Bogaert. Beloved wife of the Late Rene Rodet (2015). Loving mother of Christa Oatman (Don) and Denis Rodet (Lori). Cherished grandma of Joann Schelstraete (Vince) and Vicki Schelstraete and loved G.G. of Jett and Jaxon. Survived by many family members in Belgium. Predeceased by her four sisters and by her brother in Belgium. The family would like to thank Dr. Bobby and all the staff at the N.H.N.H. for their excellent care of Mom over the past 5½ years. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Interment in Delhi Cemetery.
