Mrs. Maria Araujo formerly of Church Street, Delhi, passed away at the Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in her 80th year. Maria enjoyed tending to her much loved flowerbeds, creating beautiful needlepoint pieces and cooking for her family & friends. Former Maria Madalena DaSilva. Beloved wife of the Late Adelino Araujo (2010). Loving mother of Maria Teresa Tichelaar (Steve) and Paula Sampaio (Fernando). Cherished grandmother of Alex, Philip (Lisa), Nicole, and Olivia. Dearest sister of Leonida Assis (Orlando). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents, Domingos Silva (1987) & Albina Teixeira (1976), her son, Paulo (1969), her sister, Dulcinhia (2003) and by her three brothers: Nacor (2019), Joel (1991) and Abraim (1995). A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. (MAX: 75 Attendees).
