Obituary of Brenda Gilbert
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Brenda Gilbert of Windham Centre, age 65, died Sunday March 21, 2021, at the University Hospital, London. Brenda was born January 9, 1956 to the late Adeline (Kozicki) and Bill Darlington. She grew up in Wyecombe and started school at North Walshingham Public School and then high school at Delhi District Secondary School. Brenda continued her education at Niagara College in Welland and accepted a position as a Clerk at the Land Registry in Hamilton. Brenda then made the big decision to move back to Wyecombe and work with her Dad and brother in the family business - Darlington Wiring and Plumbing. Brenda was an iconic presence in the office with a vast knowledge of the business. It was once Brenda moved back to Norfolk County that she met the love of her life, Tim. Their only child Timothy Joseph (TJ) completed Brenda's world. Brenda is survived by her husband Tim and her son TJ. She leaves behind her sister Jo-Ann and husband Brian Voigt; her brother Scott Darlington and wife Shelley; her brother-in-law Floyd Gilbert and friend Linda; her brother-in-law Dwight Rabey. Also her loving nieces and nephews; Kevin Lockstein, Katie Graham, Mathias Voigt, Gillian Darlington, Ella Darlington, Jason Gilbert, Josh Gilbert, Steven Rabey , Jackie Kennedy, Jamie Knowles and Samantha Rabey and their respective spouses and their children. Brenda will always be fondly remembered by her special Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. Brenda is predeceased by both her parents; her sister Kim Darlington; her brother-in-law Dave Lockstein; sister-in-law Vera Ann Rabey (Gilbert), mother-in-law Pauline Gilbert (Houle) and father-in-law Floyd Gilbert Sr. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Inurnment in Wyecombe Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is planned for the future.
