Obituary of Anastacio Santos

In Loving Memory

Mr. Anasticio  Santos of Delhi, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the age of 77. Born in Vilarinho Do Bairrro, Portugal, Anastacio and his family emigrated to Canada in 1978 where he learned to work in tobacco and construction. He was an avid soccer fan and cheered for his home team Benfica. He enjoyed music, reading, horses and sharing ice cream (any time of the year) with his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Maria Alice (De Jesus) Santos. Loving father of Paulo Santos (Amanda), Pedro Santos (Jackie) and Anabela Santos-Liscio (Robert). Cherished grandfather of Maximus, Samantha, Octavia, Xavier and Logan. Dearest brother of Dulcinia (Late Manuel), Aldina (Jose), Amilcar (Clelia) and Alexandrino (Elizete). Friends may call at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi for visitation on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Anastacio believed in giving blood to save lives and on his behalf and in his memory, the family encourages you to do so in lieu of flowers.
