Mrs. Reinhilde Friedrich, formerly of Delhi, passed away peacefully at Emerald Retirement Residence, Niagara Falls on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in her 85th year. Proud Member of the Delhi District German Home and Past Secretary of their Ladies Society for over 20 years.   Member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Simcoe. She arrived in Montreal on October 14, 1956 aboard the Arosa Sun after leaving BremerHafen on September 29, by train to Toronto and a short car ride to Delhi. Reinhilde was the proud Owner of Hilda's Beauty Parlor for almost 10 years before joining forces with her husband, Karl, to run Friedrich Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Pools. Former Reinhilde Horn. Beloved wife of the Late Karl Friedrich (1982). Loving mother of Veronica Hemming (Jeff), Carla Porter (Greg), Chris Friedrich (Linda) and Gary Friedrich (Nicola). Cherished Oma of John-Paul, Brittany, Corey, Jordan, Andrew, Mariah, and Mikaela. Dearest sister of Manfried Horn (Christel). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws in Germany. Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Ella (Wolf) Horn, and by her brother, Harry Horn (2009) and his wife Elfriede (2020). In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. A Commemorative Tree Planting and Celebration of Life for Reinhilde Friedrich on Sunday, June 26, 2022. To honour her legacy, a Tree Planting will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Delhi Community Arena (near the pavilion). Following this will be a time of sharing memories and fellowship at the Delhi District German Home from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial Donations to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Simcoe or the Delhi Community Health Centre can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
