Obituary of Blanche Debusschere

In Loving Memory

 

Mrs. Blanche Debusschere of Delhi, passed away at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in her 95th year. Blanche & Roger grew tobacco in the Teeterville area for many years until 1996, after when they moved to Delhi where Blanche still lived until September of 2019. She was a very active card player and still played into her 90's. She was a member of the Delhi Wizzen Club and the Langton Merrymakers. Blanche was a proud member of the Delhi Belgian Club and their Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a Member of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church and their Catholic Women's League for many years, where she volunteered and even did a fashion show, modelling into her 80's. She loved to eat fish and spend time in Long Point as it reminded her of the ocean in Belgium. Former Blanche Helen Vanderperre. Beloved wife of the Late Roger Debusschere (2008). Loving mother of Eddy Debusschere (Francine) and Darlene Vince (Steve). Cherished grandmother of Jeanette MacLean (Tyson), Kirstin Vince and Bradley Vince and great grandmother of Dylan and Olivia. Dearest sister of Rosa of Belgium, Georgette of U.S.A. and Silveer of Belgium. Predeceased by her granddaughter, Corrina Debusschere (2016), by her brother, Victor and by her sisters, Raymonde, Ivonne, Eliana, Marcelline and Therese. In consideration of the continuing health & safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. A Celebration of Life, Memorial Mass is planned for the future. Memorial Donations can be made to the Delhi Community Health Centre or Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Church, Delhi at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
