Mrs. Christine DeNorme, formerly of Delhi, passed away at the Hardy Terrace Long Term Care, Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in her 94th year. Christine loved her roses in the garden and knitting for her family. She spent over 20 years travelling in Canada, Europe and Cuba with friends and on her own. Helping in her travels was her ability to speak 4 languages, boldly going on new adventures. Former Christine Jelen. Beloved wife of the Late Oscar DeNorme (1977). Loving mother of Anne Marie Wills (Don), Monica Myers (Chris) and Trish Stokes (Peter). Cherished grandmother of Chris, Jason (Kerri), Dan, Elizabeth, Ethan (Kate), Maddie and LeighAnne (Chris) and great grandmother of Paige, Olivia, Julien, Ava and Kieran. Predeceased by her infant son Jacques (1948), by her son Rick DeNorme (1981), and by her sisters, Carolyn (2008), Sophie (1996), and by her brother, Romain (1994). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service held in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
