Obituary of Joseph Tranelis

Mr. Joseph Tranelis of Delhi passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, December 27, 2019 in his 92nd year. Joe was born in Lithuania and immigrated to Montreal in 1960 and moved to Delhi in 1970. He was the former owner of the Arrowhead and Gus' Cafe in Delhi and Adam's Restaurant in Montreal with his wife Marija.  Beloved husband of Late Marija (Bikneris) Tranelis (2018). Loving father of Danguole "Dee" (Rick), Kestutis "Dave" (Pam) and Vytautas "Vytas" Tranelis (Amaya). Cherished grandfather of Quinn (Shannon), Rowan (Brandon), Alexander, Sophia, Nicholas and Austin. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws in Canada & the U.S.A.  Predeceased by his brother, Albert and by his four sisters, Hilda, Emma, Helen and Anna. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Lung Association or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
