Obituary of Gerald Dol

Mr. Gerald “Gerry” Dol of Delhi, passed away suddenly at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in his 41st year. "Big Ger" loved life and lived it to the fullest. His contagious laugh could be heard from a block away. He enjoyed hockey, loved drawing and was an avid reader. He was born March 28, 1978, the beloved son of Fred & Ann (VandenBussche) Dol. Loving big brother of Rebecca Dol (William Davison) and Marie Steiner (Jeff). Cherished “Uncle Ger-Ger” to Jordon, Shelby, Wyatt, Nash and Clara. Dearest nephew of Paul Dol (Hilda), Carol Chesney (Bob), Bill Dol (Chris), Mary Christina VandenBussche, Debra Sinnesael (Ken), Marc VandenBussche (Mary) and Laura Knack (Brian). Also survived by many cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents, Roger (1979) & Theresa (2014) VandenBussche, and by his Oma and Opa, Willy (2017) & William (2018) Dol.  Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 for visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Donations to the Camp Trillium/Rainbow Lake or the Lung Association will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
