William "Bill" Whitehead of Delhi, passed away peacefully at VON Sakura House, Woodstock on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in his 89th year. Bill's favourite activity was watching sports and rooting for the Toronto teams. He played baseball and bowled in his younger years but many knew him as "Mr. Walmart" from his days as a greeter there. Bill loved the time he had to play with the grandkids. Beloved husband of the Late Betty (Taylor) Whitehead (2003). Loving father of Shirley Murray (Paul), Diana Kerr, Sandra Kerr, Steven Whitehead (Charlene), Peter Whitehead and Virginia Topley (Marty). Cherished grandfather of Rose, Rebecca, Ronn, Michele, Amanda, Jamie, Tracey, Aaron, Sarah, Tyler, Joelle, Jamie, Emily, Christopher, David and Bryan and great grandfather to 22 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & a large extended family. Predeceased by his son, William Ronald Whitehead (1973), by his granddaughter, Caroline Murray (1973), and by many other extended family members. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday  from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Babbey officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch. Donations to the TDMH Foundation, London Regional Cancer Program, the VON Sakura House, Woodstock, or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
