Mr. David Cronkite of Simcoe, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in his 31st year. David found joy in the simple things in life. He loved to do anything outdoors, from fishing, hunting, to riding a quad or snowmobile. His all time favourite thing was anything car related. From working on cars or going to any car show he could find. He absolutely loved being an uncle to his nieces and showing them off like they were his own. He had recently found an interest in baking and cooking. David loved his family dearly and will be missed by all. Beloved son of the Late Donald (2014) & Melissa (Setterington) Cronkite (2012). Loving brother of Chantel Cronkite (Tim), Trish Alty (Brad) and Sheldon Setterington (Karlea). Treasured uncle of Kylie and Aria. Dearest, Special Friend of Danielle Doey and her children Kylee & Hunter. Also survived by his uncles & aunts: Mike (Dawn), Richard (Shirley), Belinda (Mike), Cheryl, Barbara (Bill), Margaret (Bob), Sandra, Leanne (Robert), Terri (Greg) and the Late David Cronkite as well as by several cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Black Forest Lounge (Downstairs at the Delhi German Home), 443 James Street, Delhi on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Private Family Inurnment in St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Vienna.
