Obituary of Rose Csercsics
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Rose Csercsics of Simcoe, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 2, 2026 in her 92nd year.
For many years, she worked alongside her family growing tobacco while creating a loving home on the farm, where she raised her children with unwavering love, strength, and selflessness. She found great joy in cooking and baking for those she loved and was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren - whether on family trips, gathered around the kitchen table for a game of cards, or simply listening to their stories. She took pride in volunteering in the kitchen at the Hungarian Hall in Delhi, where she was also a proud shareholder and valued the friendships she made there. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League in Langton as well as a former member of the Langton Merry Makers. She also loved tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Former Rose Marie Kish. Beloved wife of the Late Stephen Csercsics (1991). Loving mother of Brian Csercsics, Rose Mary Jankowski (Leonard), Stephen Csercsics (Nancy), Mary Deelen (Micah), Chuck Csercsics (Serina), Michael Csercsics and the Late Margaret Csercsics (1960). Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren: Natalie, Nicole (Aaron), Mark (Rachel), David (Samantha), Darren (Alex), Michelle (Chris), Ash (Scott), Sam (Kyle), Alison (Ben), Ryan and great grandmother (dednagymama) to Owen, Hugh and Leo. Dearest sister of Isabel Horvath (Late Andrew 2006), Late Violet Bahula (2026) (Frank), Late Joseph Kish (1979) (Josie), and sister-in-law of Joseph Csercsics (Lynn) and the Late Anne Scaff (2014) (Late Lester 2016). Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
We are especially grateful to Rose’s devoted home caregivers, Bernadette and Claire, who cared for her with dignity, patience, and love. Their compassion and friendship made it possible for her to remain at home, surrounded by comfort and family. The family also extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the compassionate caregivers who provided exceptional care and kindness.
Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Ladislaus R.C. Cemetery, Courtland. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Campfire Circle (Camp Trillium) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
