Obituary of Willem van Es
In Loving Memory
It is with immeasurable sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and Opa, Mr. Willem Johannes van Es at the Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, June 26, 2026 in his 64th year. Willem leaves behind the love of his life, Cora and his cherished daughters, Denise (Agha), Kaitlynn (Josh) and Rheanon (Cole) who were the pride and joy of his life; as well as his grandsons, Luxton and Elijah. He faced life's hardships with determination and fought until his very last breath the battle with cancer leaving behind an example of perseverance that will inspire his family for generations to come. His love for travel to explore the world, and capturing those moments through the lens on his camera. Taking out his motorcycle and listening to music were his favourite pastimes. Each journey became another treasured chapter, always returning home with stories and experiences he loved to share. Though our hearts ache beyond words, we find comfort in knowing that Willem is now safe in God's loving hands. While we grieve the immense loss of his presence, we rejoice in the promise that his suffering has ended and that he has found eternal peace. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his love, his wisdom, his strength, and his unwavering devotion will remain forever woven into the lives of those who knew him. As per Willem’s wishes, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place. Memorial Donations to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre (LHSF) or Campfire Circle (Camp Trillium) can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
Willem, your fight has become our strength. Your legacy has become our foundation. Your love has become our greatest blessing Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts. "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me." -Psalm 23:4"
