Obituary of Richard Igercich

In Loving Memory

It is with profound sadness that the family of Rick Igercich announces his passing on June 10, 2026 in his 66th year, following a courageous battle with advanced melanoma. Born and raised on a tobacco farm in the Delhi area, Rick was the owner of Ghostrider Performance, specializing in small-engine repair. He was gifted with the ability to fix almost anything. If there wasn't a tool for the job, Rick would create one himself. Working on snowmobiles was a true passion and he spent several winters as part of Polaris SnoCross teams, travelling throughout Canada and the United States, contributing to their successes. Most recently, Rick served as Ontario Director and President of Canada's National Firearms Association, dedicating himself to advocating on behalf of Canada's legal firearms owners. In this role, he travelled extensively across the country, meeting members, listening to their stories and concerns and ensuring their voices were heard. His dedication also took him overseas, where he worked collaboratively with firearms organizations throughout Europe. When not working, Rick retreated to his happy place—the cottage in Gogama. There, he found peace looking out over the lake, listening to the call of the loons, and enjoying the quiet beauty of the north. Rick was predeceased by his parents, Joseph (1982) and Mary (2013). He will be deeply missed by his sister, Joanne. He will be lovingly remembered by his Aunt Mary and his dear cousins Barbara, Florian, Rob, Joe, David, Angie, and Paul. He will always be cherished as Uncle Rick by Christian, Michael, and Noah. Rick's quick wit, ingenuity and fierce loyalty will be remembered by all who knew him. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. As per Rick’s request, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the VON Sakura House, Woodstock, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
