Peacefully, at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Nera Georgette Sinnaeve in her 92nd year. Andy and Nera enjoyed many activities together: cycling, swimming and especially playing cards with their friends. They spent many winters at their residence in Sarasota, Florida. Former Nera Vanhooren. Beloved wife of the Late Andre (2021). Loving mother of Yvette (Daniel). Special mother of Anabel (Robert), special grandmother to Octavia, Logan and Xavier, step grandmother to Anne-Marie (Steve) and Phillip. step great-grandmother to Quintin, Gabriel and Benjamin. Life-long friend to Alice Santos. Survived by family in Belgium, her sister Erna Vanhooren, brother-in-law Reginald Vancauwenberghe, nieces and nephew, Andy (Veerle), Wendy (Karl), Annie, Marleen and Mary Jean. Many thanks to Dr. Thorogood, for his many years of devoted care to Nera, at the nursing home. Also Lisa Bishop, Nurse Practitioner, for her constant care of Nera these past few weeks. A huge appreciation to all the staff of the Delhi Long Term Care, you made Nera feel like family, your kindness and respect, was all noted. Thank you all for all you did for her. Nera requested a Private Family Funeral Service. Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery.
