Obituary of Nelly Bauer

In Loving Memory

On the morning of April 6th 2026 Nelly Bauer passed away, surrounded by family, in the sunlight of one of Turkey Point’s finest sunrises. She has departed from us, though her beloved husband Ralph, her first son Rolly, her siblings, and her parents have waited patiently for their reunion. Born in Beers Netherlands on September 4th 1939, Nelly made the ten day journey by boat to Canada with her Mom, Dad, brothers, and sister. Nelly adored her family, her parents, her siblings, her children. Her eternal legacy remains in her surviving children Fred (Joanne), Carmen, Mia (Keith) and Ralph (Margaret) and her adored grandchildren Brittany, Sarah, Natilee, Jeffrey, Sophie, Tommy, Logan, Jordan, Becky, Rachel, Leah, all of their partners and her 9 great children.  Her  love for them was never wasted, as all of our lives have been shaped by her laughter, her stories, and her advice. While Nelly was a jack of all trades, her most incredible role was the role of grandmother, mother, sister, and wife. Nelly wasn’t born at the lake, but she got there soon enough. After their marriage Nelly and Ralph settled in Turkey Point. Though they really never settled as their many businesses kept the family busy, and changing. From Real Estate to Restaurants, Nelly’s hardworking spirit and business savvy nature led her into varying ventures, though none top her beloved store. Nelly loved Turkey Point, and Turkey Point loved her right back. Everyone in the town knew that they could pop by the store for some snacks, a drink, or to hear a witty comeback from Nelly. Her many years at the lake were filled with music, sunshine, laughter, and love. Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest together with Rolf and Rolly in St Mary’s cemetery in Beachville. Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family requests that next time you hear your favourite song, you turn it up and sing along. Memorial Donations to the Delhi Sharing Pantry can be made through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
