Bonnie Bailey, of Simcoe, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in her 80th year, surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Bonnie also dearly loved her pets—her companions Pebbles and Scooter, and her predeceased companions Peanut and Andy—who held a special place in her heart. Bonnie enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with friends. She especially loved gardening, surrounded by wind chimes and bird feeders, and she had a fondness for carnations and yellow roses. Bonnie was born, Bonnie June Gascoyne. She was the beloved mother of Jacqueline Balogh (Dave) and Jay Bailey (Jodi), and the cherished grandmother of David (Nela), Brandin (Jenn), Marrisa (John), Jessi, Matt, and Samantha. She was proud great-grandmother of Corey, Trinity, Zakkary, Zoey, Mekayla, Corbin, Rylan, Cohen, and Connor. Dear sister of Kathleen Tuffin (late Harvey, 1987). Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents, Garnet (1987) & Lula (1994), and by her sister Beverly Taggart (2024). As per Bonnie’s wishes, a Private Family Funeral will be held.
