Mrs. Theresa Wirth of Simcoe, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in her 90th year. Former Theresa Kilian. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was proud of her German heritage and lived her life grounded in faith and family. She was especially known for her cooking and for always making sure everyone around her was well fed. She enjoyed tending to her garden, attending church and spending time at the Delhi German Hall. These were simple joys that brought her happiness throughout her life. Theresa is now reunited in heaven with her beloved Late husband Stanley (2006). She will be lovingly remembered by her children Stanley Wirth (Tracy), Yvonne Novinka (Ken) and Belinda Gyori (Peter), her grandchildren Sophia (Eric), Aaron, Derek (Kristie), Andrew (Raina) and Colleen (Connor), her 5 great-grandchildren (Owen, Harlow, Ella, Easton and Remi) and her sister Barbara Holody (Late Joe). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Joseph (Late Emma), Martin (Late Helen), Maria (Late Ferry), Elizabeth (Late John) & Anna (Late Joseph). She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. As per Theresa’s wishes, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Simcoe on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Simcoe can be made through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
