Mrs. Irene Faludi, formerly of Delhi, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in her 88^th year. Irene loved Bingo, game shows and gambling. She enjoyed fishing and feeding while watching the hummingbirds. Irene farmed both tobacco and strawberries over the years. She was a great cook of Hungarian food, especially cabbage rolls, and could 'make dirt taste good'. Former Irene Vajtku. Beloved mother of the Late Gary Faludi (2008). Loving grandmother of Crystal Wardell (Kendall) and Heather Faludi (Andrew). Cherished great grandmother of Daxton, Beau, Eli and Paisley. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her sister, Margaret Borda (2025). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service to be held in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Simcoe at a later date.
