Mrs. Barbara Loveday, formerly of Delhi, passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in her 79th year. Barb enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including painting and knitting but most of all Barb enjoyed her family near & far. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Loveday (2022). Loving mother of Debbie Russell (David), Tracey Hutter, Robert Loveday and Denise Kalle (late Stacey 2022). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Steve), Scott, Jordan, Karissa (Cole), Shayleigh (Dawson), Greg, Tori, Cierra (Keegan) and Ron and nine great grandchildren. Dearest sister of Bonnie Smith and Brenda Ryder (Dennis) and sister-in-law of Betty Loveday. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents Dorothy (Hill) (1992) & Jack Smiley (1989), by her sisters; Betty Kennedy (2016) (late Dave, 2005) and Beverly Wray(2021) (late Ron, 1996), by her sister-in-law Jean Reynold (2017) and by her brothers-in-law Don Reynolds (2008), Gord Loveday (2021) and Harold Loveday (2018). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Spring Inurnment in Vittoria Baptist Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home (Resident Activity Fund) or the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to everyone involved with mom’s care over the past 3 years, with special appreciation to the Norfolk General Hospital Nursing Home whose care & compassion were exemplary.
