Mr. Beije den Baars of Simcoe, passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, November 6, 2025 in his 82nd year. Ben was born in the Netherlands as a farmer’s son. He continued to grow vegetables and fruit when he was old enough and take over the family farm. Twenty years ago, he and his son, Daniel came to Canada to continue growing vegetables and fruit here. He loved to work in the fields and loved to work and learn more about his plants as for Ben, his work, was his hobby! After he couldn't do the farm work anymore he kept growing some vegetables at his house. He always had other beautiful flowers in and around his home that he was proud to grow. Ben had a love for dogs. He was always telling all kind of stories about all the dogs he has had in his life. In his spare time he could be found reading, cooking or baking which he loved to enjoy. Beloved husband of the Late Elisa (Struik) den Baars (2003). Loving father of Daniel den Baars (Cynthia). Cherished grandfather of Matthieu. Dearest brother of Maatje den Baars-Ruyssenaers. Also survived by his two nephews. A Private Family Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 with Interment in Delhi Cemetery.
