Obituary of Denise Ostyn

Mrs. Denise Ostyn, formerly of Delhi, passed away at the John Noble Home, Brantford on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in her 93rd year. Denise came from Belgium to visit family. This is when she met her husband, Andre at the Belgium Club and they married shortly after. A few years after their marriage they built their home on Hwy #3 doing much of the work themselves. She was a beautiful knitter and an excellent seamstress, having made her own wedding dress and many other dresses for the wedding party. She had also created stunningly new drapes and bedspreads for their home. Member of the Delhi Belgian Hall & their Ladies Auxiliary and a Member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Women's League. Former Augusta Julia Bliki. Beloved wife of the Late Andre Ostyn (2013).  Dearest sister of Norbert Bliki (Late Ghislaine) and sister in-law of Sonia DeDecker (Karl).  Also survived by several nieces and nephews in Canada, Belgium, France and Australia. Predeceased by her two brothers: Gilbert Bliki (Cecile) and Marcel Bliki (Late Marrette) and by her sister, Lisett Copens (Late Leonce). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Denise had lived seven years at the John Noble Home. The family would like to extend a Special Thank You to everyone involved in her care.
