Obituary of Martha Jacques

Mrs. Martha Jacques, formerly of Tillsonburg and Vanessa, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care, Courtland, Ontario, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 in her 98th year. Born in Dover Township, Ontario to the Late Alfons & Marie (Heiertz) Monsere. Martha was a Member of the Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed crocheting, bus trips, spending time in flower gardens, playing cards and yard saleing. Former Martha Monsere. Beloved wife of the Late Amedee Jacques (2001). Loving mother-in-law of Rosa Jacques and Noella Lava (Albert). Cherished grandmother of John, Billie Jo (Stu), Matthew (Emily), and Craig (Carolyn), and great-grandmother of Selina, Chantal, April, Clara, Gillian, Emily and Rachel. Dearest sister-in-law of Lucienne Monsere and Alice Jacques. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons, Aime Jacques (2015) and Tony Jacques (2001); by her brother, Roger Monsere (2025); by her sister, Alma Monsere (2025); by her brothers-in-law, Adrien Jacques (2001) and Michel Jacques (2017) (late Mary, 2024); and by her grandsons, Archie Jacques (2001) and Ryan Jacques (2003). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Andy Alway officiating. Inurnment in Our Lady of LaSalette Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
