In Loving Memory
Mr. Lloyd Wood of LaSalette, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 29, 2025 in his 84th year. An active participant in a variety of community organizations including the Norfolk Fire Department, Teeterville Station, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 526, Teeterville and the Kelvin Cemetery board. We bid farewell to our ever-entrepreneurial, charismatic, social, and determined husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He lived life with energy, passion and a deep appreciation for music and laughter. His presence filled every room and his love for connecting with others brought joy to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit in their hearts. His legacy of resilience and humour will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have shared in his life. Beloved husband of Caroline (Houle) Wood and the Late June (Bezzo) Wood (2000). Loving father of Cindy Mauthe (Paul), Clint Wood (Robert), Wanda Wood-Matthews and Scott Wood (Anna). Cherished grandfather of Kyle (Leigh-Anne), Kaitlyn (Derek), Aaron (Vanessa) and Alanna (Jake) and great-grandfather of Blaire, Warren, Aubrey, Julia, Isabelle and Mavis. Step father to Eddy (Patty) Corr, Shelley (Neil) Barker, Keith Mahoney, Tracey (Mike) Bonaccorso, Kelly (Eugene) Maksymchuk, Michelle (Shawn) Mahoney, Kim (Phil) Telfer and their extended families. Predeceased by his son, Terry Wood (1960) and by his sister Clara Shephard and by his two brothers, Stanley and Cecil Wood. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Service held in the Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment in Kelvin United Cemetery. Donations to the Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre or to the Campfire Circle (Camp Trillium) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
