Obituary of Roger VanCraenenbroeck

Mr. Roger VanCraenenbroeck of Delhi, passed away surrounded by family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in his 92nd year. Roger was a hard working truck driver since the age of 17 for Godley Transport, and at the age of 22 went with the truck when it was sold to Verspeeten. He continued driving with them until his retirement at 71, with a perfect driving record. Dearest brother of Veronica Demeyere (Ronald), Gerard VanCraenenbroeck Jr. (Linda), Willy VanMechelen (Kerry) and Linda Gekiere (Jerry). Sadly missed by his good friends, Jules and Martin. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews. Predeceased by his father, Gerard VanCraenenbroeck (Late Marie), by his mother, Irene (Vandeperre) VanMechelen (Late Julian), by his three sisters, Anna "Annie" Christiansen (Pete), Jeanie Beneff (2009) (Late Richard, 2016) and Yvette Roelen (2006) (Late Edmond), by his nephew, Rick Beneff (2023), and by his niece Sonia Courtemanche (2011). Honouring Roger’s wishes, services will remain private.
