Obituary of Michael McElhone
In Loving Memory
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Michael Edward McElhone at the age of 54 while enjoying a winter day on the trails with close friends. It gives great comfort to know that he is now reunited with his beloved parents, the Late Robert (2018) & Dorothy (2022) McElhone.
Michael took great pride in the family tradition of tobacco and ginseng farming on the McElhone generational farm just outside of LaSalette. Every detail, from soil preparation to harvest, was handled with an unwavering commitment to excellence. Michael’s meticulous nature was instilled in him by his father “Bob” who ensured that the legacy of his family’s farm endured. A responsibility he shared with his brother, Jason for most of his life. Together, they upheld the high standards instilled in them by their parents, honoring a tradition built on dedication and perseverance.

Michael’s friend group was large and consisted of his lifelong friends and then grew to include each of their partners, and then grew again to include their children. Together they enjoyed the sport of Snowmobiling and could often be found up North enjoying the trails. They also went on many great travel adventures to warm destinations, and always had fun doing it. Michael loved the sport of hockey, especially his favourite local team The London Knights where he could be found cheering them on from the stands with friends.
