Obituary of Frans Bouckhuyt
In Loving Memory
Mr. Frank Bouckhuyt, formerly of Delhi and Walsh, passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in his 90th year. Born in Tillsonburg on October 25th, 1935 to Albert & Mariette Bouckhuyt. Beloved husband of Yvonne (VanHooren) Bouckhuyt for over 67 years. Loving father of the Late John Bouckhuyt (2014), Joanne Luke, Luanne Morrison and Mike Bouckhuyt (Sheila) all of Simcoe. Cherished Papa of John (Crystal), Jason (Jill), Brittany (Dave), Jeremy (Svitlana), Jordanna (Jarrod), Simon (Alexandra), Amy (Jeff), Kevin, Hailey and Heather (Ryan) and 15 great-grandchildren. Dearest brother of Rosie Spriet (Late Celest 2004) and Jeanie Nowe. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank spent his childhood in Delhi where he helped his Mom at their family grocery store and his Dad around the tobacco farm. He later took over the family farm in Walsh where he and Yvonne raised their family and grew crops for many years. He will be remembered for bowling and playing cards at the Belgian Hall, playing horseshoes, moose hunting, fixing anything and everything while whistling a tune, travelling to Florida in his retirement years, playing shuffleboard and spending time in the outdoors with his family. His bright blue eyes, sense of humour and helping hands will be deeply missed by all that knew him. The family would like acknowledge and express their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the earth angels in Spruce Court at Norview who went above and beyond to look after and love Frank in his short time there. A Private Family Service will be held followed by a Public Celebration of Life in the Spring. Memorial Donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario or to the Charity of your choice through the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care).
